A terrible world champion accident! The nightmare took place in front of the fans

The three -time world champion (2013, 2015 and 2018), apart from his obvious sports advantages, due to many years of performances in the Polish league, he gained great recognition in Poland. Although in fact the character of Taia Woffinden – he definitely goes beyond national games – for years being one of the leading in world speedway.

A terrible accident occurred during the sparring, which took place in Krosno. It was there that Stal Rzeszów went, whose player became Woffinden. The British took part in the factor in the seventh race, when Bartosz Bańbor and Franciszek Majewski fell on the track. Finally, in the case of Majewski and Woffinden, the situation turned out to be much more serious. Their motorcycles were leaning and both with great impetus landed in an inflatable band on the first arch of the track in Krosno.

Rescuers had a difficult task to draw Woffinden from under the band. It quickly turned out that additional ambulance support would be needed, an air ambulance was called. The organizers decided to finish the competition prematurely.

The first reports were very disturbing. On Monday, an official message appeared from the Rzeszów club.

“The patient was transported to our hospital by the Air Ambulance Service around 19:00. He was hospitalized with a multi -tank injury, numerous limb fractures and chest injury. Until 2:00 am, he was operated on by an orthopedic and surgical team. He is in the intensive care clinic, where he remains under the care of doctors.

“The trauma of both arms, both legs and a fracture of the ribs were suspected. As we have determined, some of them were already confirmed. The player was also introduced into a state of pharmacological coma. At night there was the first, hours of having a broken femur. We also know the sources of breaking a dozen ribs, a fracture of the elbow in many places, as well as the cracked spine vertebrae.
