Marketa Vondrousova won the Wimbledon Grand Slam in 2023. However, the Czech tennis player has recently had a lot of problems in her career.

Marketa Vondrousova revealed the truth. A moving entry from a tennis player
As it turned out, the problems were caused not only by the injured shoulder. The Czech was investigated for violating anti-doping rules. Although, as she admitted in a moving post on social media, she had a very unpleasant visit from the doping commissioner. It was supposed to appear at night, outside the offered time slot.
Such intrusion led Vondrousova to write about the situation on Instagram. Mostly about its consequences.
It’s very difficult for me to talk about it, but I want to be honest with you about my mental health (…) For a long time I struggled with injuries, constant stress and sleep problems, which made me feel exhausted and fragile. It gradually exhausted me more than I probably realized at the time (…) I’m slowly trying to find my way back – both on and off the court. Tennis has always been my world, but now I’m also focused on healing and getting through this in the best way possible. I’m still working to clear my name, but at the same time I need to take care of myself. Thank you to my boyfriend, my family and everyone who supported me. It means more to me than I can express. For now, I need some time to breathe and recover.
There is no doubt that the Czech, when she was fully healthy, certainly had plenty of sporting assets to compete with the best.
The 26-year-old Olympic runner-up (Tokyo 2021), however, has to focus more on getting her health back in recent seasons. And as you can see, in addition, an unpleasant situation occurred that had a negative impact on the tennis player and her mental health.
