These are: Rome, Bologna, Florence, Ancona, Campobasso, Perugia, Pescara, Latina, Frosinone, Trieste, Rieti and Viterbo.

The Lazio region is struggling with a difficult situation. A state of alarm has been declared in all provinces there. On Wednesday, the Sicilian city of Palermo will join the list of cities at risk.

Heatwave in Italy. Not only seniors need to be careful

According to the Daily Mail, high temperatures in Italy have caused at least four deaths. This concerns seniors, although everyone must be careful.

An 82-year-old man died on a beach in Taranto, in the southern part of the country, on Sunday. In Giovinazzo, in Puglia, near Bari, a 70-year-old also died on a beach. Another senior citizen was also confirmed dead in Porto Cesareo.

Doctors and paramedics are reporting an increase in people coming to emergency rooms due to fainting or other health problems exacerbated by the heat.

All because of the anticyclone

Weather anomalies occur as a result of the anticyclone. It formed in the Sahara and “pumps” hot air toward the Mediterranean Sea.

Forecasters warn that Greece is also in the firing line. In some parts of the country, the mercury will rise to 42 degrees Celsius. So it is important to prepare for extreme conditions and protect yourself accordingly.

Bulgaria is also battling a deadly element. Fires have spread across the country due to high temperatures, drought, and strong winds.
