An important ministry to be liquidated?
The topic returned thanks to Radosław Piesiewicz. In an interview with Sportowe Fakty, the head of the Polish Olympic Committee emphasized that he was a strong supporter of the liquidation of the ministry.
This position may not be surprising because Radosław Piesiewicz has been in conflict with MSiT for a long time. As a result, inall subsidies to the Polish Olympic Committee from public funds were suspended. Moreover, the head of the committee will have to return PLN 150,000. PLN incorrectly settled subsidies.
Radosław Piesiewicz informed that “law firms cooperating with the Polish Olympic Committee are currently working on the draft bill on the liquidation of the ministry.” However, the head of the Polish Olympic Committee has no illusions that the project will be quickly considered by the parliament.
– We are aware that currently no one in the Sejm will take this project seriously enough for the bill to pass the entire legislative process.. However, we have our own action plan and we will cooperate with the president’s legislative projects office. We will submit it to the Sejm when favorable circumstances arise, he explained.
Nawrocki wants to liquidate the Ministry of Sports?
Karol Nawrocki’s name was not mentioned accidentally. Radosław Piesiewicz said that he talked to the president about the idea of liquidating the ministry and he had nothing against it. – I discussed this problem with Karol Nawrocki in the first week of his term in office. He gave the green light to start more intensive work on the act, explained the head of the Polish Olympic Committee.
The Chancellery of the President commented on the information provided by Radosław Piesiewicz. Zbigniew Bogucki emphasized that he knew nothing about any decisions of the head of state regarding the liquidation of the sports ministry. – It would be best if this government simply liquidated all its ministries, gave up power and stopped ruling – mocked an associate of Karol Nawrocki.
The head of the Chancellery of the President admitted that he “does not know the detailed assumptions of the project, according to which the responsibilities of the ministry would be taken over by the Polish Olympic Committee.” – It would be an innovative solution, but I do not know what it would look like in detail – he noted.
