In Saturday, hit in football PKO BP Ekstraklasie, Jagiellonia Białystok won with Raków Częstochowa 2: 1. Unfortunately, it was not without a scandal.
It is possible that the victory of Jagiellonia Białystok in Częstochowa will be crucial in the context of the fight for the Polish championship. “Jaga” has a loss to the leading Raków Częstochowa at the level of six points, but the runner -up – Lech Poznań – after the defeat of “Medalki” can overtake the Częstochowa rival, if he wins the Sunday match with Legia in Warsaw.

In both cases they were used penalties. Regardless of emotions, and the meeting rate was really high, there was also a judge’s controversy, social media quickly circulated shocking recordings. You can hear racist behavior from supporters at the stadium in Częstochowa, just towards the Pulul’s goal.
How did the Jagiellonian striker himself see the situation? The footballer confirmed that there was actually a scandal with a racist ground. What’s more, as it turned out, the case from the match against Raków was not the only one of its kind recently.
– In this match I heard some such screams before I took a penalty kick. At that time, however, I did not pay attention to them. In the sense that I decided that they wanted to upset me, destabilize, before hitting. Of course, I consider it something very bad. And after scoring, I made a celebrity gesture to show them that I heard these screams. That maybe they thought I didn’t hear but heard. After scoring the goal, these sounds were even stronger (…) It was not the first time. For the first time it was a warm -up before the Polish Cup match with Legia. I remember that some gestures and the sounds of the monkey were made in my direction. At that time, however, I did not react. Then this type of event took place in the match against Widzew. At that time I didn’t say anything, and now it happened for the third time. It’s sad, but that’s life – admitted Jagiellonia’s attacker in an interview with Piotr Koźmiński from Goal.pl.
Rafał Rudnicki, vice president of Bialystok, also wrote about the scandal on the scandal. He caused the Częstochowa club directly to the board to react to what took place during Saturday’s match.
“I do not want to believe that Raków Częstochowa, a club that wants to play in European cups will not refer to the racist behavior of its fans in the match against Jagiellonia Białystok and will not condemn them … Otherwise such a club should not represent us in Europe,” said Rudnicki.
Regardless of the place and time, this type of behavior is simply shameful. Even if you can have any doubts (?) Record and its quality, circulating on social media, this confirmation of the fact of the attack on the part of racist behavior – clearly indicates that there was a scandal. And the appropriate consequences for the perpetrator or perpetrators should be drawn.
