A powerful trout made the rod dance. There is a new record, this was the length of the fish

The lucky guy whose achievement was buzzing about in the fishing community is Ryan Bauman. A Golden Valley resident on Lake Superior caught a record-breaking brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis). This is a legendary body of water that is part of the five Great Lakes of North America.

It was bigger than a human hand

Bauman went to the shores of the huge lake in June this year. He just wanted to relax, although he was also open to a possible adrenaline rush. Euphoria appeared unexpectedly – for the first time when he felt a strong tug. He then realized that he was dealing with a really big fish.

When it surfaced only slightly, he realized that it was a trout. The rod was almost ripped out of his hand as he fought for the tasty bait on the hook.

Eventually, the line held and S. fontinalis found its way to the shore. It was then carefully measured – it was 19.25 inches (or nearly 49 centimeters) – the editorial office of a foreign media found out. The Minnesota Department of Wildlife has officially confirmed the new record!
