A powerful earthquake took place off the coast of Russia. A warning was issued.
Far in the east, in the area of the Kamchatka Peninsula (which separates the sea: Ochockie and Bering), there was an earthquake of 8.8 magnitude (according to Richter’s scale).
This means that the phenomenon had a lot of strength. Local media inform about warnings that were issued within a radius of many kilometers.

The quilting took place tonight at night (from July 29-30). Dosgs (US geological service) informed that it had a power of over eight MMS). The shock caused the formation of waves in the Pacific with a height not exceeding four meters. According to the Russian services, the epicenter was about 125 kilometers away from the capital of the Kamchatka (Piestropawłowska) country, and the hypocetrum was at a depth of about 19.5 km – writes the Polish Press Agency.
Nobody died in connection with the occurrence of a dangerous phenomenon. The authorities of the administrative unit, whose governor is Vladimir Solid, admitted that it was “the strongest earthquake for decades” – quotes the Russian agency of Reuters. It caused damage to the building of one of the kindergartens in Petropavlovsk, and the evacuation of residents was ordered in the town of Siewiero-Kurilsk on the island of Paramuszyr. In addition, it was recommended to leave the Kamchatka coast of the local community.
American experts have estimated that not only the areas of Russia, but also Japan, the island of Guam and the Marian archipelago are exposed to Tsunami waves. The Japanese meteorological agency, similarly to the Russian authorities, issued a warning and also ordered the evacuation of people.

Shortly after the incident, Donald Trump published an entry on the Truth Social platform.
“Due to the powerful earthquake that took place in the Pacific Ocean, a warning against the Tsunami was announced for the inhabitants of Hawaii. For Alaska and the US Pacific coast, a state of readiness was announced before the Tsunami. Japan is also on the wave route. (…) Be strong and care for safety!” – the President of America appealed.
