A new edition of the “Dobry Start” program is starting. From July 1 this year, parents can apply for funds for school supplies. An allowance of PLN 300 (hence the common name of the program – 300 plus) is granted to each child attending school aged 7 to 20, and if he or she has been diagnosed with a disability, up to the age of 24.
– A parent can receive 300+ once a year, regardless of their income. The benefit will help finance the purchase of textbooks, notebooks or other equipment necessary for learning – emphasizes the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) in a message posted on the X platform.
Importantly, you cannot receive 300 plus for children who study in the so-called kindergarten or students.
Applications for 300 plus will be available until the end of November this year. People who submit documents by the end of August will receive the benefit by September 30.

The “Dobry Start” program was launched in 2018 and the benefit has not been indexed during these eight years. According to a survey conducted almost a year ago by SW Research for “Wprost”, nearly 50 percent respondents (47.4%) want the benefit to be increased. One third of respondents (32.3%) do not want indexation, and every fifth respondent (20.3%) has no opinion on this matter. A year earlier, 46 percent were in favor of the increase. respondents, and 30 percent was of the opposite opinion. This means that the percentage of supporters of the 300 plus indexation is growing.
