Dramatic moments took place during Poles’ vacation in Albania. The Polish tourist fainted, but his wife could not communicate with the hotel service.
A potentially dangerous situation occurred on June 4 during a vacation that a marriage from Poland spent in Albania. The man felt bad, he had high pressure and did not react to medicine. His wife tried to explain the hotel service that the help of a doctor was needed, but the staff could not understand her.
The Pole in Albania did not respond to medicine. The reception could not help
Time was nominating, so the tour guardian advised to call Polish number 112. The man’s wife explained in an interview with the operator that he did not know how to call an Albanian ambulance and cannot communicate with reception workers. The operator called the hotel reception, but it turned out that her employees did not speak English. Fortunately, it could hear Italian in the background, and one of the operators who knows this language, took over the phone and explained that help was needed. The man’s wife also received instructions on how to proceed before the medics came.
On Monday, the Warmian-Masurian Voivode Radosław Król thanked the operators of number 112 for the correct reaction. “Thanks to ladies, a man whose life was threatened, today is in a Polish hospital and lives,” he said.
