The Pole’s account shows that The restrictions affected the sports and entertainment industry the most, as it is recommended to avoid crowds and limit movement around the city.

– Work is carried out remotely in government institutions and most banks. The same recommendations were made for the private sector. In fact, the only things that currently operate traditionally are shops, hospitals and some restaurants – he said in an interview with Sport.pl.

The Qatari national team statistician added that “first the Qatari authorities decided to close the airspace and only then other restrictions were introduced.”

There are moments when very loud explosions can be heard, windows and doors shake. This is caused by the shooting down of missiles and drones, but this rarely happens nowadays. However, one still feels an inner anxiety that one does not know when the explosion will occur. And the very moment of the explosion is certainly disturbing and stressful. It is not pleasant when at some point the air trembles and a huge bang is heard – said Kornel Kiliński.

Attacks in Qatar. A Pole talks about explosions

An associate of the Qatari coach admitted that The situation in Doha had been tense since mid-January. – The Polish embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs already informed that they do not recommend traveling to Qatar and the Middle East – he emphasized.

When asked whether he had considered evacuating from Qatar, Kornel Kiliński assured that he felt safe in the place where he lived with his family.

We are over 40 kilometers away from the base, and we are not near the American embassy, which could become a target. There is also no reason to fear that Iran will start attacking residential buildings. We are considering all options, but the Polish embassy recommends staying at home and advises against traveling to Saudi Arabia. So we are waiting to see how the situation develops. We follow the government’s recommendations and information coming from the embassy, he concluded.
