A new giant hotel is growing by the Polish seaside. A competitor to Gołębiewski
It will offer fewer rooms than the giant in Pobierowo, but it will also attract guests requiring the highest standard. This hotel will welcome them in 2027.
While tourists are excited about the opening of a new Gołębiewski hotel in Pobierowo, competition is growing in Western Pomerania. This is the 5-star Hotel Mearl, which is being built in the new, eastern part of Kołobrzeg, at ul. Sułkowski. The scale won’t be that huge.

The hotel will have “only” 369 rooms (there will be over 1,000 in Pobierowo), a SPA center, a designer club, a cigar lounge and – almost obligatory in luxury facilities – a “sky bar” with a view of the sea. The planned opening date is 2027.
“We are building a hotel that will delight generations, and this requires time, consistency and cooperation with the best partners – says Zbigniew Woźniak, investor and owner of the Woźniak Group of Companies. – At Mearl, we want everything to work when it is needed – preferably before the guest even asks for it. That is why we pay so much attention to architecture, detail and service culture. We want to create a complete place: from the first moment of contact with our brand to the last – he adds.”
Currently, the work is focused on finalizing advanced installations and interior finishing. ATC Development, part of the Woźniak Group of Companies, is responsible for this stage, supervising the technical implementation of the investment.
Hotel Mearl. Criticism of investment
As always in the case of large investments, votes are divided. “A town of retirees. Don’t get shot at here,” one of the commenters noted.
“I come from Kolobrzeg and personally I think that maybe enough is enough? Kolobrzeg is definitely saturated with this type of facilities. Everyone (for about) 2-4 years “suddenly” rushed to Kolobrzeg, forgetting that at some point excessive expansion of new facilities reduces the profitability of existing facilities… of course, developers will build what they build I sell it at high prices, but at some point buyers will be left with the problem of PLN 250 per day – in high season!!!” – we read in one of the comments (original spelling – ed.).
