Another foreign railway carrier is interested in Poland. Gepard Express would take Poles, among others to Croatia, Lithuania and the Czech Republic.
Another application for access to Polish tracks was registered at the rail transport office to launch international connections. This time, the interested entity is the Czech Gepard Express bus and queen carrier, which would like to lead through our country warehouses on relations from Prague to Kharkov, Terespol and Vilnius and Vilnius to Split. The exact hours of trains are already known.
Gepard Express wants to operate in Poland
The Czechs are increasingly interested in entering the Polish railway market. Not only České Dráhy and Leo Express, but also still unknown to many passengers with Gepard Express can soon use tracks in our country. The private carrier obtained the consent of the Office of Railway Transport to launch international trains from Prague to Kharkov, Terespol and Vilnius and from Vilnius to Split, which, depending on the route, would stop in cities such as Przemyśl, Kraków, Katowice, Rzeszów, Warsaw, Rybnik or Białystok (tickets would not be available in national traffic). The carrier has already published the exact timetable with departure hours, but the final ticket prices are currently unknown.
Poles will soon go to Croatia?
At what stage is the Gepard Express application currently? According to the railway market, on April 14, Gepard Express complete all deficiencies indicated by the office and met the legal requirements that allow him to publish public notifications regarding plans to launch routes. “The Gepard Express notification opens the field to bring any opposition by other entities under the so -called economic balance research,” we read.
Entering the Gepard Express market is another opportunity for Poles for direct rail connections to Croatia. Recall – PKP has similar plans to run trains to Split. In the case of the Polish carrier, optimistic forecasts talked about launching the route even in the next few months.
