A new attraction is coming to a Polish village. Mountain lovers will be delighted

The attraction in question is of course the famous Chata Puchatka in the Bieszczady Mountains. After it underwent renovation and ceased to be a shelter, many miss its former self. Now they want to create a replica of the former facility.

Chatka Puchatka located on Połonina Wetlińska provided shelter for tourists for many years. Currently, it is a shelter of the Bieszczady National Park bearing the official name Chatka Puchatka II. After renovation, many amenities were introduced there and everything looks completely different than a few years ago. On site, we can find, among others, toilets, electricity, a buffet, and a souvenir shop. Unfortunately, you can no longer buy accommodation there. Hikers miss the old atmosphere of the place and someone found a way to cheer them up.

Winnie the Pooh’s House Will Have a Replica

As we read on the website wbieszczady.pl, “Robert Żurakowski, the creator of the film “I Dreamed of Połonina”, wants to create a replica of the wooden Hutka Winnie the Pooh on the hill above the Kresowa Chreptiów in Lutowiska”. The creator of the idea announced that there would be photos, props and more.

This is good news for all mountain lovers, and Robert Żurakowski is one of them. The famous musician, composer and director will make the hill above the Kresowa Chreptiów in Lutowiska a completely new place.

“This idea is the fulfillment of my dreams. It was always somewhere inside me, I always said that something like this should be created. What I miss in the new Chatka is that there is no history – there is nothing that could bring back memories of the Chatka that we remember. The young generation should learn what happened there. It was a kind of symbol of the Bieszczady Mountains,” says the artist in an interview with wbieszczady.pl.

Winnie the Pooh’s House Replica: “It Will Be an Important Place”

The director informed that he has data that will allow him to precisely recreate the old image of the cottage. “I have “Chatka Puchatka” from 1958 filmed by Professor Jakubczyk. It will be possible to see it in the Kresowa Chreptiów Stanica. It will be an important place where every interested tourist will learn more about this forgotten place that was once a symbol of the Bieszczady Mountains,” he revealed.

It is known that the new facility will become a tourist attraction, operating within a broader undertaking. The aim is to promote the region so that the memory of the iconic place does not disappear. A film trail will also be created on the premises. In addition, thematic trips, film screenings, various workshops and concerts are to be organized.

In the Puchatka Cottage itself, tourists will find, among other things, models presenting the history of the building, and there will probably also be film materials that have not been published before.
