A mysterious phenomenon on the Baltic Sea. Tourists delighted

The attention of tourists walking on the Sopot beach has recently caught the attention of mysterious ice balls. Morszkulce, because we are talking about them, are rare ice balls. Where did they come from on the Baltic beach?
The sight of harshscatchers is a real rarity. In order for them to be created, nature must meet a number of very specific weather conditions. The occurrence of this phenomenon requires low temperature, moderate wind and the proper presence of water, ice and snow in the sea. The process of forming harshscarf begins with small lumps of ice and snow, which are kidnapped by sea waves.
Over time, under the influence of water movement and delicate wave, ice particles begin to take on a spherical shape. As the Portal Aldziepomorze.pl explains, these balls form slowly – the longer they stay in the water, the greater and heavier they become.

Too strong wind can break down the forming seats into small fragments. Similarly, the process of their growth can be interrupted by too violent waves. Ice balls formed in this process can reach up to several dozen centimeters in diameter.
For people who are lucky to come across Morszkulka while walking on the beach, it is an unforgettable experience. Their symmetrical shapes contrasting with the natural, chaotic landscape of the coast make an amazing impression.
Morszkulce in Poland. When do they form and where can you see them?
Morszkulce does not form every winter. The balls are also not long -lasting. A change in weather conditions leads to melting and disappearing from the beaches. This year, lucky tourists managed to meet them in Sopot.
– It’s amazing! I’ve never seen anything like that before. Nature can surprise – said Esopot.pl Editorial walking on the beach Anna.
In January, walking on the Baltic Sea in Jastarnia (Pomeranian Voivodeship) could come across Morszkulce. They lay on the beach.
