PlusLiga: PSG Stal Nysa fans on the difficult battle with the elements

On Saturday afternoon, PSG Stal Nysa shared a post on social media that appeared on a page run by their fans. The Fan Club will not be at the match in Rzeszów, and all because of the difficult situation of fighting the elements.

“Due to the situation affecting the Nysa district, where most of us are currently battling the elements, we have decided to cancel tomorrow’s trip to Rzeszów. There were supposed to be over 50 of us, there was supposed to be great cheering and, above all, support for the boys in their fight for the first points in the new season… but unfortunately. PSG Stal Nysa, we are with you with all our hearts and we keep our fingers crossed tomorrow. Fight tomorrow for all Nysans! Unfortunately, this is our reality” – we read on the profile of the PSG Stal Nysa Volleyball Fan Club called Stalowcy.

We can only wish the fans supporting the PlusLiga club much success in the unequal fight against the elements that have affected the southern part of Poland in recent days.

PSG Stal Nysa will play its match on Sunday (September 15), from 14:45, at Asseco Resovia Rzeszów.

“Our Fan Club won’t be with us tomorrow, but we know they will be with us in their hearts! Our thoughts are with the people in our region who are affected by the elements, and tomorrow we will give everything for Nysa and its people, because #NysaToWe #NysaToLudzie” – the club’s website wrote in response to the fans’ post.

ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie with defeats

The first round of PlusLiga brought a few surprises. On Friday, the Polish vice-champion Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie lost their match. The team led by coach Michał Winiarski lost 2:3 at home to Bogdanka LUK Lublin. The MVP of the match was chosen as the visiting team’s playmaker and captain, Marcin Komenda.

Saturday brought a hit match in Warsaw to the schedule. PGE Projekt managed relatively smoothly, in three sets with ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The best player in the match won by the bronze medalists of the previous season was the host player Bartłomiej Bołądź.
