A member of the Polish Olympic Committee’s management board breaks the silence. He told about aggressive attacks
Krzysztof Wiłkomirski from the Polish Olympic Committee gave an interview in which he talked about the behind-the-scenes of the committee’s work. As he said, the problem was not only Radosław Piesiewicz.
The president of the Polish Judo Association, Krzysztof Wiłkomirski, had insight into the work of the Polish Olympic Committee as a member of the management board of this organization. In the “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” program on TVN24, he explained the behind-the-scenes of this organization.

Wiłkomirski emphasized that many management board members defended President Piesiewicz, who was temporarily arrested last week, until the very end. – I think one could wonder why so many people defended him at that moment, in fact in recent months, despite many of our arguments, which were difficult to refute – he said.
– They didn’t actually give counter-arguments, they just attacked us. Often in a very aggressive verbal manner, he emphasized. – During management or general meetings, when we tried to express our arguments, we were interrupted. We were even verbally insulted, he added.
– I only hope that those people who stood behind the president, I think that they were very aware of the situation in the Polish Olympic Committee, how President Piesiewicz functions and defended him, I hope that they will stop – sorry for the expression – fooling around – he said.
Wiłkomirski confirmed that Radosław Piesiewicz’s “tremendous” defenders included, among others: Andrzej Supron and Renata Mauer-Różańska. As he said, in response to the arguments, these people took offense and became aggressive in their statements.

He recalled that before the arrest, 82 signatures out of 106 members of the Polish Olympic Committee had been collected regarding the general meeting with one point – the dismissal of the president. However, he violated the statute and blocked this initiative in every possible way.
– I think it would have lasted because he realized his days were numbered. If in accordance with the law, in accordance with the statute and, above all, perhaps with human honesty, he had brought about the general meeting for which we collected signatures, it would not exist at this moment – said Wiłkomirski.
The TVN24 interlocutor emphasized that Piesiewicz signed the contract with Zondacrypto in complete secret from the management board and the presidium, far outside the country. He also concealed the content of the already signed contract.
He also expressed hope that Piesiewicz would resign from his position himself, because it would be “the most convenient” and best for relations with the IOC. At the same time, he admitted that he did not believe in such a scenario. The POC will then have to cancel it or wait for the International Olympic Committee to intervene.
