A large trout grabbed the hook and a record was broken. This is how much the specimen measured

The fisherman caught a large trout. After measuring, one thing was clear – a new record was set.

Golden Valley resident Ryan Bauman caught a huge brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis). A freshwater fish from the Salmonidae family was found in Lake Superior (a water reservoir that is part of the legendary five Great Lakes of North America).

He set a new record – which has already been officially confirmed by the Minnesota Department of Wildlife.

After pulling the specimen from the lake, Bauman took out a device used to make precise measurements from his backpack. The trout (S. fontinalis) was exactly 19.25 inches (almost 49 centimeters) – determined by the foreign website Milve. This is approximately as long as an adult’s hand measures.

Afterwards, he returned to his natural environment.
