Polanica-Zdrój

Can Poland delight foreigners? We know from today that yes. Our cities have already appreciated, among others Americans and British. Quite recently, a Czech judged us. He looked into a well -known spa.

Tourist from the Czech Republic Thomas Puukner, went to Poland after 8 years of absence in our country. What he found on the spot exceeded his wildest expectations. He noticed the changes and shared with the opinion with others on the blog Medium.cz.

A blogger from the Czech Republic visited Poland

The image of Poland may not be completely overlapped with reality, especially if we based on stereotypes or memories of many years ago. This was understood by Thomas Puukner, who came straight from the Czech Republic this year to Polanica-Zdrój. He chose a well -known spa in the Kłodzko Valley and decided to take advantage of local attractions.

The man stopped in Poland for three nights and hired a 40-meter apartment with a terrace and a stove with dishes. He paid PLN 928 for two people. Already at the beginning he was positively surprised that he was not charged with additional fees for parking, minibar or bathroom products, which is frequent in the Czech Republic. He was delighted with the received offer and appreciated, among others That he could reach the city center in five minutes. The peace and the entire quality of services prevailing on the spot were also important. Later it was only better, although it was also not without serious reflection.

Poland through the Czech’s eyes

The report presented on the blog showed that the man was surprised by Polish prices and found Poland much cheaper than the Czech Republic. He revealed that being in place after 8 years, he found a “completely different world”. He noticed that Polanica-Zdrój reminded him of Marian baths in which he would have to pay at least PLN 1,500 for his stay.

“I am no longer surprised by those Czechs who travel for hours and buy half a ladybug. Shopping here is so profitable that even covering 300 km once a month makes sense, “commented Thomas. He noted that currently many products in Poland are much cheaper than in his country, which is lost by Czech entrepreneurs. Cigarette prices amazed him most. “I smoke about one package a day, so if you use 30 packages a month, buying a Polish Winston SSL Black for PLN 18 (about 105 crowns), you will save over 1.5 thousand. Crowns (approx. PLN 255) and in just a month. The equivalent of these cigarettes costs 151 crowns in the Czech Republic (about PLN 26), which is one third more than in Poland, “he calculated.

The Czech, being in Polanica, met his countryman, who runs a restaurant there. It turned out that the man gave up running such a company in the Czech Republic. The blogger regretted that his country was losing and noticed that Poland was very competitive and ingenious. “There are several dozen billion in the Czech budget. They have been in Poland for a long time, “he said bitterly on the current situation.
