A famous influencer from the USA entered a milk bar in Poland. He was amazed
An influencer from the USA – Maxwell Banton – went to Poland. In Warsaw, he decided to visit one of the milk bars to encourage his followers to visit such establishments. “Great food,” he assured.
Maxwell Banton (known online as Max Takes On The World) is a United States citizen who lives in Spain (specifically in Barcelona, where he is increasingly known by the local community). The influencer travels around the world – the last one went to Eastern Europe to present the Vistula land to his viewers.
In the capital, he visited a popular (especially in the times of the Polish People’s Republic) type of restaurant. The so-called Milk bars today are significantly different from those that attracted crowds in the Polish People’s Republic at the end of the 20th century – it is worth visiting them from time to time to feel the specific atmosphere (some have been operating continuously for decades).
Banton sees only the advantages of such places – he shared his observations in a post on Instagram. In the video, he points out that these places are “the best way to experience local culture – without spending a lot of money.”
During the short video, the influencer explains that “traditional milk bars can benefit from state subsidies for selected meals.” This is actually the case – thanks to the regulation of the Minister of Finance from a decade ago. However, such places must meet several conditions – they must be self-service, non-alcoholic and open to the public, and the menu must include, for example, lazy noodles or compote.
The YouTuber explained that such places “serve great, authentic, home-made food.” During the film, he happily ate tomato soup or a cult dish – associated all over the world with Poland (but also with Ukraine and Russia). At one point he couldn’t stand it – he had to tell Internet users how little it cost him.
– I left there with a large plate of fresh dumplings, a hot bowl of soup and a drink, and I paid for everything – only PLN 23 – he admits happily in the video.
