Świeradów-Zdrój may be a good and affordable choice for a winter trip. During the winter holidays, families will spend the least here.
Although at the moment there is snow only in the high parts of the mountains, many families are already looking for ideas for winter holidays. The Travelist.pl portal checked which destinations in Poland are most popular. Already at the end of October, the number of reservations is similar to the previous year, although average prices in accommodation facilities increased by 11%.
The cheapest destination for winter holidays in Poland
It will not come as a surprise that in winter, tourists most often choose the mountains, although a certain change is visible. Two years ago, their popularity was similar to seaside resorts, and today they account for 2/3 of all reservations.
The cheapest family stays in the mountains can be booked in Świeradów-Zdrój (from PLN 596 per night). The health resort in the Mountains is a good choice not only for patients who come here for therapeutic stays. The town has numerous tourist attractions thanks to hiking trails and educational paths. The gondola lift to Stóg (1,105 m above sea level) operates here all year round.
We will also find attractions related to the spa character of the town, including: the famous walking hall made of larch.
Train to a mountain spa
After arriving in Świeradów-Zdrój by train, you can also see an attraction similar to the famous Kolejkowo in Wrocław and Warsaw – models with moving miniature trains in the station building.
The most popular places for winter holidays are always Zakopane, Wisła and Szczyrk. Prices per night in Zakopane for families start from PLN 654 (price per night in a hotel of at least 3 three stars, with breakfast or two meals). Wisła will also be an attractive choice for winter holidays. Many hotels offer packages with meals and animations for children. For a stay with two meals, the price starts from PLN 709 per night.
The analysis was prepared on the basis of offers available on the Travelist.pl booking portal on October 22. Various stay dates are included from January 16 to March 1, 2026 (if 5 nights are selected). The given prices per night are for a stay with breakfast or two meals for a family of 2+1 (child 12 years old).
