A serious incident occurred on a French suburban railway. The aggressors appeared in the area and started attacking passengers with dangerous tools.
The situation took place on November 4 at the RER station known, among others, Paris. Tourists and locals can use it to travel almost throughout the city and surrounding areas. In the morning, when the train was waiting at the Ozoir-la-Ferrière station located southeast of Paris, an attack took place with a sword, a stick and an axe.
A dangerous attack on a suburban railway
The RER, the regional railway network around the Paris agglomeration, is known to all Parisians and tourists. It is used very often, but unfortunately it turns out that it is not always safe. This was proven, among others, by four teenagers who suffered the most during an aggressive attack on board.
There were a lot of people at the station and in the queue during the accident. There were mainly students on their way to school. The situation turned dangerous when a fight broke out between two groups of youths. It is not known what caused the fight, but the situation got out of control. At the same moment, attackers armed with an axe, a knife, a baseball bat and a samurai sword entered the wagon at the station.
They are seriously injured
A total of four young people were injured, two of whom suffered serious injuries. In the case of one of the men, he suffered a cut hand, and the other was taken to hospital with a fractured skull. Foreign media reports show that in none of the cases there was a threat to life, so the injured should survive.
It is known that the attackers were young boys aged 16-17. The police suspect it was about connections with local criminal groups. The main suspect in the case has already been arrested. He was caught in his own house, and during the search an ax was found and seized.
The Paris train incident has raised concerns about the safety of commuters on these public transport lines. It is known that despite the incident, the RER line operated normally because the train was already at the station at the time of the fight. State railway operator SNCF confirmed that train services continued without disruptions.
