– We are trying to coordinate help that comes from all over the country. Farmers send silage, grain, wheat, hay, straw, fodder, i.e. what is needed for the animals to survive. They also collect seed material so that farmers affected by the flood, who had, for example, rapeseed in the field, can re-sow it with, for example, wheat – informed Kołodziejczak.

He emphasized that patience is now needed. – Only this week will show us the scale of destruction, detailed calculations and reports. We still have to wait, he said. Here we are talking about the 100,000. PLN announced by the Prime Minister for farm buildings. They will also be for farmers. Although I believe that this money may simply not be enough – admitted the deputy minister.

Michał Kołodziejczak also mentioned a program thanks to which people will be more willing to provide help to flood victims. It’s about cooperation with the state-owned Orlen. – Today, yesterday, those who bring aid to farmers will have their cars refueled for free.
