A cheap and beautiful swimming area at the junction of three cities. All you need is PLN 10

Stawy Hubertus

Swimming pools in Poland end their season on the last day of August – or at least most of them. It’s worth spending the last weekend of your vacation here.

Summer is slowly ending and the temperatures outside are getting lower. However, this does not mean that it is no longer worth going to the swimming pool or swimming pool. Many of them operate until Monday, August 31, and there will be plenty of sunshine in Poland this weekend. We found a place where you can enter for PLN 10.

A cheap swimming pool at the end of the holiday

The swimming pool that caught our attention is the Hubertus 3 Reservoir located in Silesia, more precisely at the junction of three cities: Mysłowice (Piosek-Szabelnia), Sosnowiec (Naftowa Os.) and Katowice (Szopienice). It had its golden time in the peak of summer, when thermometers showed above 30 degrees Celsius, but at the end of August it is still open and attracts attractions.

Visitors can enjoy a sandy beach, a wooden pier, clean water, a fishing spot, and a park, recreation and dining area. The PLN 10 admission fee does not apply to children, but to adults, and everyone else has access to the complex free of charge. Moreover, in August it can be used until 9 p.m.

The Hubertus 3 reservoir has an interesting past

It is worth going to the Silesian swimming pool for free sunbathing and peace, but you can also treat this place as a historical attraction. Not everyone realizes it, but it was created from sand that was used by the Mysłowice Mine to fill excavations at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, it is actually an area created from many reservoirs with a total area of 135,000 square meters. It is managed by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center, and local residents have a real holiday paradise there.

Representatives of the place warned those interested that bathing would only be possible until August 31, which is not an unusual rule. Due to the climate in Poland, most swimming pools will close at this time. The exception are large parks such as Suntago, which offer access to indoor attractions or have heated basins. What’s more, even though summer is ending, you can still count on promotions. If you live near the Hubertus reservoir and haven’t had a chance to check out what it has to offer yet, this is your last chance in 2026.
