Will Kamil Semeniuk join PlusLiga? The volleyball player’s contract in Italy is coming to an end after the 2024/25 season. Bogdanka LUK Lublin is said to be interested in the Pole.
News regarding Kamil Semeniuk’s transfer to PlugLiga began to appear over the last few days. It is possible that “Semen” will exchange Italy for Poland, although at this stage the Polish volleyball player is mainly focused on playing for Sir Susa Vim Perugia.

Moreover, Semeniuk feels very good on the Apennine Peninsula. It is worth recalling that the Pole left for Italy after reaching the absolute peak in the colors of ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The team from Kędzierzyn won the Champions League final in 2021, and Semeniuk was chosen MVP of the match for the most important trophy on the Old Continent.
In the club from Perugia, the Pole had a difficult first season, where an important element of acclimatization in completely new realities was visible. However, Semeniuk’s second season in Italy was a championship title, and he was named one of the team leaders. What will it be like in the third one? It seems that it may be successful again. The question is, however, whether Perugia intends to continue his relationship with the Pole? Semeniuk’s contract expires at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Interestingly, when leaving the club where he was a student, the Olympic vice-champion from Paris (2024) admitted that if he returned to Poland, he would only go to ZAKSA. However, as we know, this type of declarations can… age badly.
– I remember what I said about Kędzierzyn – that if I return to Poland, I will only go back to this club. However, so much has changed in three years that I look at it a little differently now. I addressed those words to people who are no longer in ZAKS. The situation is different. So I wouldn’t limit myself to playing in Poland – said Sara Kalisz in an interview with TVP Sport, who hosted the Italian champions.
A duet with Wilfredo Leon in Lublin? It would be an amazing story, especially since the men had already played together – apart from the Polish national team – in the club from Perugia.

Most of the teams have already played 12 rounds of the 2024/25 season. There is a lot of pressure in the PlusLiga table, and most experts already at this stage assess the current campaign as the most interesting in years, or even in the entire history.
– This season, the structure of the PlusLiga table is changing very quickly. It’s tight, it’s difficult to get higher, and it’s easy to catch a bad series and start looking nervously behind your back. This also shows what the level of the competition is. We are approaching a situation where more and more teams start to count in the playoffs. Completely different than years ago, when before the season you could bet on who would be in the top four or six at the end of the league – said Bartłomiej Lemański, PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów’s center, former Polish representative, especially for Wprost.pl.
The top three places are occupied by teams that have the same balance of matches won and lost. The point difference is only due to the number of points, taking into account, among others, five-set matches played. Jastrzębski Węgiel (31 points), PGE Projekt Warszawa (28) and Bogdanka LUK Lublin (28), perhaps Semeniuk’s new club, have ten wins and two losses each.
