One of the most interesting threads about the Polish volleyball team is certainly the position of the attacker. Unfortunately, at the start of the personnel season, after returning to training, Bartosz Kurek suffered an injury. The team captain was excluded from the game for the duration of the VNL 2025 tournament in Ergo Arena and the League of Nations finals that will take place this year in China.

Since there is no tap, the question arose who will be his successor among the attackers. A total of three – Kurek, Łukasz Kaczmarek and “reserve” Bartłomiej Bołądź appeared at the Olympic Games in the squad. The second of those mentioned in the 2025 season in the Polish national team does not appear (after consulting a player with a selector), but the former attacker PGE project Warsaw – from the new campaign Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie – is in the team of the Tri -City VNL tournament.

Next to Bołdzia, coach Grbić can use Kewin Sasak. We wrote about the great entry into the representative playing by the volleyball player Bogdanka Luk Lublin on the occasion of the first league of Nations in China. Sasak presented himself worse in Chicago, but during the games in Ergo Arena – both he and Bołądź – they have their better and worse moments. It is hard to really indicate “one” in this set. In addition, it must be remembered that Bołądź fought with health problems, which means that the stage of his “starting” in the national team may last.

Aleksander Śliwka was to be the “emergency” option for the Poles’ coach. The host has been checked on the right wing several times in the past, as a left -handed volleyball player, doing quite well. In addition, plum could be a security in the context of the party – Poles would have an additional player here for this sentence. And here, however, a big problem arose, namely former captain of Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle, in the last season appearing in the Japanese league, suffered a serious injury in the Tri-City. And it is already known that he will not be able to use his services in the 2025 season.

The Poles selector, however, continues to combine. During the matches in Ergo Arena, … Wilfredo Leon also appeared on the attack. This solution with an offensive retident volleyball player could certainly “click”, but the question is whether at a longer distance. The person himself is rather focused on occurring in his optimal position, i.e. a party. On the other hand, in the case of the need of the team … the representative would simply do what the coach will ordered.

Solving the problem with the attacker in the frame? It would be best if the captain of the famous #Ganguły returned to the game. Kurek is a lively legend of the national team. Although there is nothing to hide, “Kuraś” also needs a successor – sooner than later. The 2025 season is personally (injuries and previously announced absences) demanding.

Coach Grbić must therefore, according to the selector’s previous experience, come up with something – which will ensure the stability of the team’s game. At the end, the most important will be not what will happen in the ongoing VNL 2025, but the target event of this season-the world championships in the Philippines (12-28 September).

The Polish national team in Ergo Arena will play one more hit match.

On Sunday, to close the struggle in the Tri -City, Poles will be waiting with the Olympic champions – French (20:30). It will be a kind of rematch for the IO 2024 final, maintaining all proportions of the seriousness of the League of Nations.
