Iconic resorts are sometimes closed, but tourists do not forget about them. This is the case with a facility in a warm country in the Balkans. He comes back after many years.

The case concerns the 5-star Aman Sveti Stefan hotel in Aman, Montenegro. This place has always attracted tourists who loved its views and luxurious atmosphere. Even stars such as Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe came there, which only emphasizes the importance of the place. For years, the resort was famous for its elite tourism, and guests could buy accommodation in historic 15th-century houses on a closed island. Ultimately, they had to forget about it for five years, while the dispute continued in the background. Now the situation is different.

The famous resort in Montenegro is coming back

After years of closure, Sveti Stefan in Aman will resume operations in the summer season of 2026. Those interested will be offered access to luxury apartments and a unique beach. The resort is actually an island town connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of sand. You will find it just 10 km from Budva.

Guests will be able to use the center from July 1. During the peak season, they will enjoy exceptional weather – over 30 degrees Celsius, a sea perfect for swimming and monuments that are just a short trip away.

Currently, Aman Sveti Stefan consists of a total of 33 cottages and apartment buildings, which are part of Villa Miločer – which once functioned as the summer residence of Queen Marija Karađorđević. The properties offer sea, mountain and garden views, and the largest suite, Sveti Stefan, has a private swimming pool, separate living room, dining room, pantry and steam room. Additionally, you can also count on the Aman Spa in the private bay of Queen’s Beach, an extensive fitness center and seasonal restaurants.

The beach dispute has been resolved

The upcoming opening is a success after many years of disputes. The island’s residents expressed their dissatisfaction and demanded free use of the beaches opposite the hotel.

The luxury hotel ultimately closed in 2021 and is now back after an agreement was reached. Local residents will have access to both Sveti Stefan and King’s Beach, while hotel guests will have access to Queen’s Beach.

The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, commented on the dispute regarding the center. On the website X he revealed that the state would receive 10%. share in the profits and that it was agreed that no additional construction work would be carried out beyond the existing permits in the Miločer seaside park located near Sveti Stefan.
