The companies are facing a difficult choice: either they will start now or they will collide with brutal reality, and there will be no time for adaptation to it. Why do we delay with decisions?

I talk to a friend – Country Manager in a large corporation. He tells me about his team, which mainly deals with repetitive manual work. The team is overloaded with duties, although my interlocutor knows that 80 percent. Their tasks can be quickly automated.

When I ask why he hasn’t done it yet, he says simply: “If I automate it now, I will have to slow down people, and I don’t want it. When the headquarters pays costs, maintaining the current state, I will have a certain safety buffer.”

This is a classic short -sighted strategy – putting the problem to the time when it may be too late for changes.
