5G revolution in Plus – coverage for 25 million Poles

Ponad 25 milionów mieszkańców Polski w zasięgu 5G Plusa

Plus is intensively expanding its 5G network, which currently reaches over 25 million Polish residents in 1,278 towns. The 5G Ultra network covers 16 million users, and commercial tests on the C-band show speeds of over 2 Gbps.

As a result of the expansion of the network to over 3,800 transmitters, 5G is available in over 1,278 locations throughout the country. 25 million Polish residents are already within the reach of 5G Plus, and over 16 million can use the fast fiber-optic 5G Ultra.

The record speed of 5G – Plus reaches 2 Gb/s

At the same time, work is underway to further develop 5G technology. During 5G tests conducted in a commercial network, the speed of 2 Gb/s was exceeded. This was possible thanks to the use of aggregation, i.e. data transmission on several frequency bands simultaneously. The solution used used the NSA standard and a combination of bands b3 (1800 MHz) + n41 (2600 MHz TDD) + n78 (3500 MHz).

The new 5G speed record in Plus was achieved in cooperation with partners – Nokia and Cellnex. The tests were carried out together with the Nokia research and development department in Wrocław using the Samsung S24 Ultra smartphone.

Work related to the development of 5G will continue so that as many users as possible can use the best mobile internet, whenever and wherever they want.
