The first commercial implementation of campus networks based on 5G technology, which was created in Poland, has just been implemented by Orange.

One of them is the construction of a 5G campus network at the Miele factory in Ksawerów. The industrial network, designed and implemented by Orange experts, enables, among others Quality controls using video communication using artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR). This allowed not only to optimize production, but also radically shorten the reaction time to irregularities and reduce downtime.

The Łódź Special Economic Zone is another example of the implementation of Orange, which attracts the attention of the industry – it is historically, the first of the implementation. It is a 5G campus network available for start-ups and enterprises developing modern technologies.

Orange Polska not only built infrastructure, but also actively supports the development of the innovation ecosystem, putting at the disposal of the so -called companies 5g Lab. A place where you can test IoT solutions, autonomous robots and augmented reality systems in conditions similar to real ones.

In Bydgoszcz, Orange Polska has launched one of the first safe, private networks of 4G/5G industrial class in Poland. Thanks to this, Nokia could implement advanced automation, robotic positions and full process monitoring.

The whole is managed by IT systems in real time, and data remain within a private network – which is particularly important for production safety.

5G for industry, trade and transport

Orange Polska solutions work well in various sectors. The industry is gaining the ability to control robots and production lines with minimal delays – even at the most critical moments. In turn, construction and production companies use augmented reality: technicians with AR glasses can get immediate remote support for experts, analyze documentation and even manage repairs directly “in the field”.

In 5G trade, it enables the implementation of advanced analytics of customer behavior, automation of cash registers and the introduction of intelligent self -service kiosks, which translates into higher efficiency and better customer service.

Transport and logistics are another industries that, thanks to Orange Polska, are already using the possibility of tracking vehicles and loads in real time. This not only increases safety, but also improves efficiency and reduces costs, and also improves many other logistics operations. A good example is the last implementation for ID Logistics. Private or campus network

Orange Polska has a unique experience in building both private mobile networks and campus networks. The first ones perfectly serve companies that need exclusivity and full network autonomy (e.g. factories, ports, logistics centers). The second allow you to integrate a private network with the operator’s public infrastructure, giving flexibility and scalability, which works, for example, in shopping malls, hospitals, banks or office buildings.

In Poland, from September 15, 2023, regulations are in force that enable enterprises and local governments to obtain 5G frequencies for the construction of private 5G networks. Orange not only designs and implements 5G networks for business. It also provides comprehensive support and solutions in the use of these frequencies – from consultancy, through installation and configuration, to service and development of infrastructure. A private network for local governments also increases security – e.g. by the possibility of starting monitoring and communication for order services (Push to Talk).
