14. Retirement from KRUS? Not all farmers will get a transfer
Not every farmer from KRUS will receive a pension. The amount of the benefit and the source of its payment are decisive.
The government adopted a regulation that sets out the rules of payment of the 14th pensions for farmers covered by the KRUS system. As in previous years, an additional benefit will be paid in September. The money will go to those entitled in accordance with the payment schedules used by ZUS and KRUS, at the latest by September 25.
Fourteenth pension from KRUS
The amount of the fourteenth pension for farmers will not exceed the lowest national pension, which in 2025 is PLN 1878.91 gross. This amount may be reduced in accordance with the “zloty for PLN” principle. This means that if the total benefits of a person exceed PLN 2,900, the surplus will be deducted from the maximum amount of 14.
If, after such a conversion, the amount of the benefit falls below PLN 50, it will not be paid at all. This means that some farmers – especially those who receive higher pensions – will not receive an additional benefit.
According to KRUS data, the average pension paid by this institution in the first quarter of 2025 was PLN 2185.22 gross. This is much less than the average pension from ZUS, which in the same period reached PLN 4,189.54 gross. KRUS serves about 758,000 pension benefits, while ZUS – over 6 million.
Other benefits for farmers from KRUS
Farmers can also receive the so -called Parent supplementary benefit, which guarantees a minimum level of pension – equal to PLN 1878.91 gross.
It is worth remembering that the fourteen pension from KRUS is also not entitled to people who receive two benefits – both from KRUS and ZUS. In such a situation, the Social Insurance Institution assesses the right to withdraw and makes it if the conditions are met.
