The Central Statistical Office indicates that the decrease in the average monthly salary in April compared to the previous month was caused by the lack or smaller scale of additional payments that occurred in March, including: awards, bonuses and bonuses, including quarterly, annual and holiday bonuses, which, in addition to basic salaries, are also included in the remuneration components.

It is also worth emphasizing that April was another month in which price increases significantly exceeded the pace of price increases. Let us recall that consumer inflation in April amounted to 3.2%.

The Central Statistical Office also announced that in April the average employment in the enterprise sector amounted to 6,386.4 thousand. full-time positions, which means a decrease of 0.9%. in relation to the same period in 2025.

The data presented by the Central Statistical Office concern entities from the enterprise sector, which is part of the national economy. This sector includes entities employing at least ten employees (approximately 40% of all people working in the Polish economy).
