RADIO ORLA FM LAUNCHES ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY WEBSITE

Anglo-Polish Radio ORLA FM celebrates its 2nd birthday on May 18 in darkness. That's right, we have relaunched our website in a special slick black design.

The website conserves energy, and makes a "green footprint" rather than a carbon one, as we march into our third year on air in the UK, Ireland and Poland.

You can see the feature-packed website at http://www.orla.fm

ORLA.FM editor Hanna Pietroszek said: "Internet search engine Google showed us the way, when it celebrated Earth Hour in March by turning its home page into black, inverting colours and reminding people to conserve energy.

"A lot less energy is used with a darker PC screen than a lighter one. And ORLA.FM has always been a pioneer. The first Anglo-Polish radio station in the UK and Ireland. The first Polish radio station to be on FM in the UK. The first to broadcast by transporting its studio to another venue. The best Polish sound from London with the best sound system. We are rarely ever second," Hanna added.

Radio ORLA FM will be official live broadcaster at the Positively Poland exhibition at Kensington Olympia on May 16-18, and will for the first time in its history broadcast from a venue other than its Ealing studios.
